Dan Beenken is the manager of the Innovation Incubator on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa. In this role, he is responsible for providing consulting services to incubator tenants and for creating awareness about the facility in the Cedar Valley. Dan has prior experience in the financial services and investment banking industries, most recently in product research and marketing. He has also served as a small business consultant at the University of Minnesota and Iowa State University. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and entrepreneurial management from Iowa State University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business.
Sarah works with the UNI Regional Business Center providing budget oversight and financial management of accounts for the Small Business Development Center, Innovation Incubator, and MyEntre.Net. Sarah graduated Summa cum Laude, participated in the UNI honors program, and received her certification in International Business from the University of Northern Iowa. She is licensed to sell Real Estate in the state of Iowa and holds the national designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
Rob Williams has been an employee of the University of Northern Iowa’s Regional Business Center in roles such as program manager, business consultant, and market research specialist. Rob has worked with hundreds of medium and small business owners and pre-venture clients across Iowa. Consulting topics range widely but have included sales, business strategy, and online marketing techniques. Rob’s specialty is in advanced market research techniques and with connecting entrepreneurs to the right statewide or UNI resource to help facilitate their growth. Prior to joining the Regional Business Center full-time, Rob graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Public Administration. Rob is an active member of the Professional Developers of Iowa, and graduate of the Heartland Economic Development Course. He is one of only a handful of consultants certified in New Media and Market Research by the National Center for Economic Gardening.
